Moku

I’m going to semi-copy my favorite blogger, Tim Challies, and use Fridays to send you to all the blogs/articles/sites I found particularly interesting during the week. PS. He uses Fridays to give away free stuff, “Free Stuff Fridays.”

This will also give you an idea of what I spend a lot of time on.

Recipes:

Coconut Kefir Water – “Coconut kefir is soothing to the digestive system, supports healthy liver function and feeds your immune system. The fermented water encourages hydration while re-colonizing the gut and mucous membranes with healthy strains of beneficial bacteria.”

Cultures for Health – This is where I have ordered dehydrated cultures while in Japan. They also have a great newsletter, online support, and release e-books of recipes.

Soaked Tortillas – I have been making these a lot lately. Let me know if you want more information about grinding and soaking grains.

Soap Nuts Shampoo – Making as I type. Haven’t tried it yet but did just did a load of laundry with the soap nuts and loved it.

New Favorite Dessert: Can’t stop won’t stop.

Religion:

War on Religious Liberty: Denny Burk on the war on religious liberty. “This is radical and chilling. Let’s hope and pray this intolerant strategy does not become the new orthodoxy among the American Left. It is toxic.”

Reading:

The Circle Trilogy: I almost feel silly admitting it, but I just re-read these and enjoyed them just as much a second time.

Relaxing:

World Cup: I’ve been learning about and bonding with my husband during this World Cup. Living where we do means we largely depend on highlights and this site has been a staple in our home for the past few weeks. We did of course watch the US play from 1 – 3 am.

Men in BlazersPaul Carr blows your mind, we said Paul Carr blows your mind.
