Sabbath. Being what I am.

Today is Sunday or にちようび  (Nichiyobi). It’s my favorite day of the week. It hasn’t always been my favorite. In days past, I’m sure it was Friday, or Saturday because both of those led to a rest day, while Sunday precedes another full week of work. I now enjoy resting so that I can work well. My prayer has been to rejoice in the rhythms that have been laid forth for me. To work well. To work with joy. To rest well.

Mokuyobi is a real cat now. She loves her Grampie Cosmo.

She is my friend. I have friends (human friends) here in the Tower and I am thankful for them.

I’ve learned a lot in the process of bottle raising a newborn kitten. One thing that has been impressed upon me recently is how creation worships by being exactly what it was made to be.

Moku learns things I could never teach her. One day she’s a helpless dust blob and the next she jumps and runs and plays with shadows and eats and poops in litterboxes. “How do you know how to do these things?”

I didn’t teach her.

God made her to be a cat and that is what she is.

She is exactly and only what she was made to be.
